Tower Story

Canton Tower, the spectacular 600-meter-tall city landmark, is located at the intersection of Guangzhou’s New Central Axis with the Pearl River landscape. Its incredible height, the twist in the middle, the eccentric shape and the lattice design make it the most notable high rise in the city. Opened in 2010, the same year that Guangzhou hosted its first Asian Games, Canton Tower has already made its mark on the city’s skyline with over 20 million visitors.

No trip to Guangzhou is complete without visiting Canton Tower. The tower, nicknamed Xiaomanyao (Tiny Waist) for its graceful silhouette, is truly an architectural marvel that will leave you in awe. It offers a variety of experiences, including breathtaking overlooks, high-altitude adventures, fine dining, dramatic entertainment, weddings and events, education and shopping.

Embark on a culinary journey at Canton Tower. For those buffet lovers, the TWIST Mediterranean Buffet Revolving Restaurant, which holds the Guinness World Record® for “The Highest Revolving Restaurant in a Building”, is the perfect place for a lavish supper. Waiting for you at 408 meters is the Colour Canton, a Lingnan-style restaurant that will delight your senses with authentic Cantonese gourmet. If you fancy French cuisine, come to the LUTECE French Revolving Restaurant for a heavenly symphony in your mouth while admiring the wonderful view. Come to the CHOPSTIX Restaurant for traditional Cantonese cuisine with a contemporary twist, the perfect choice for get-togethers with friends and family. When dusk falls, make your way to the Towerside Breeze for a laid-back evening of tapas, drinks and the stunning Pearl River vistas.

Get your adrenaline pumping at Landmark α! You can walk along the edge of the tower on the 325-meter Skywalk while overlooking the incredible views. Or test your mettle with up to 40 tasks ranging in difficulty in the 188-to-298-meter Rope Courses, as you savor the unrivaled thrill.

Observation Deck

The indoor experience starts at the 433M Cloud & Star Observation Decks, where you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Pearl River landscape as well as the urban structures along the new central axis. The Glass Walk made of transparent double-layer glass offers you intense exhilaration as you see the city below your feet. Enjoy the skyline of the city at the 450M outdoor Lookout. Take a long, relaxing ride on the 460-meter-high horizontal Ferris wheel, known as the Bubble Tram, and soar into the clouds. At the Sky Drop, the Guinness World Records® holder for “The Highest Trill Ride”, you will experience the highest heart-pumping vertical free fall ride ever.
