The Exploration Deck Viewing Gallery of Raffles City Chongqing Joins The World Federation Of Great Towers

We are thrilled to announce that the Exploration Deck Viewing Gallery is now an official member of the World Federation Of Great Towers!

The Exploration Deck Viewing Gallery is part of the Raffles City Chongqing complex, which is situated in the Yuzhong District of Chongqing, one of China’s largest and most populous cities.

Raffles City consists of eight skyscrapers situated on a site covering 9.2 hectares, and on top of four of the 250 m / 820 ft tall towers is an enclosed skyway, called the Crystal. The Crystal is an enclosed 300 m / 984.2 ft long horizontal skyway that sits atop four of the buildings.

Raffles City Chongqing is renowned for its unique architectural design. The complex is designed by world-famous architect Moshe Safdie, known for his innovative and sustainable building designs. The design of the complex draws inspiration from Chinese sailing vessels, integrating features from Chongqing’s natural surroundings and historical legacy as a prominent maritime trading hub. Raffles City Chongqing opened in September 2019 and has won the China Tall Building Innovation Award.

This architectural wonder features the Exploration Deck Viewing Gallery at 250 m / 820 ft, opened in May 2020, which soon became a notable attraction within the complex and is now joining the World Federation Of Great Towers!

Raffles City Chongqing and its Exploration Deck have become cultural landmarks in Chongqing. The complex not only offers breathtaking views but also houses a mix of retail, dining, and entertainment options, making it a popular destination for both tourists and locals.

One of the most notable features of the Exploration Deck is its sky bridge, which is suspended between the towers of the complex. The sky bridge, spanning 300 m / 984.2 feet across four of the eight skyscrapers that compose Raffles City Chongqing, is the highest of its kind in western China. Some describe this construction as a ‘horizontal skyscraper.’ It’s frequently celebrated as the planet’s tallest horizontal sky bridge, providing awe-inspiring panoramic vistas of both the cityscape and the Yangtze River.

The Exploration Deck features a glass-bottomed observation deck, allowing visitors to experience the sensation of walking on air while taking in the stunning views below. It offers a thrilling and unique perspective of the city.

In addition to its spectacular views, the Exploration Deck Viewing Gallery offers even more thrilling experiences for visitors. Daredevils can embark on the exhilarating sky walk, allowing you to step out into the open air for an adrenaline-pumping adventure high above the city. For those seeking an even greater rush, the sky swing offers a heart-pounding ride with panoramic views as your backdrop. Moreover, the Exploration Deck boasts over 1200 square meters of observation decks, both indoor and outdoor, providing ample space for you to savor the breathtaking scenery and immerse yourself in the charm of Chongqing from dizzying heights.
